Caramma was born from its founders’ personal experiences of breastfeeding and the challenges that can come with it. They saw that many baby bottles were designed very differently from the natural principles of breastfeeding and set out to create a better alternative. Over five years, Caramma developed the Caramma Support Bottle together with families and healthcare professionals. How is the milk flow controlled by the baby?

We spent several years developing and patenting a unique vent system inspired by how babies feed at the breast. After the first easy sip - just like at the breast - your baby needs to create a vacuum to continue the milk flow. Unlike conventional baby bottles, where milk typically flows with minimal effort, Caramma lets your baby control the pace of feeding. This helps maintain the sucking technique used at the breast, supports combination feeding, and gives your baby more opportunity to recognise when they are full.
How is the bottle air-free?

Unlike conventional baby bottles, Caramma Support Bottle is completely air-free before feeding begins. Simply apply constant pressure to the bottom of the flexible silicone bottle until all the air has been pushed out of both the bottle and the nipple. This means your baby drinks milk - not air - throughout the feed.
How are all breastfeeding positions possible?

Unlike conventional baby bottles, which rely on gravity to create milk flow and typically result in babies being fed lying on their backs, Caramma Support Bottle works differently. Because the bottle is air-free and your baby creates the vacuum needed to continue feeding, the bottle works in any position. This allows you to feed in the same natural positions used for breastfeeding, maintain eye contact and enjoy the same closeness throughout the feed.
